I found some of my old photo show pictures from the 1970's and one from a live show in the early 1980's. Thought I'd share them since these are 20-30 years old and showing their age.

These pictures were taken in the olden days when we used this thing called film and before that revolutionary invention called the One Hour Photo. That meant, it took about a week from the time you took the picture until you actually got to see the picture. And if it was messed up, you had no other alternative than to re-shoot (no scanners or computers to make any touch-ups).

Alright, I'm just messing around. I know there are people who still use film instead of digital. Don't flame me. It's just a joke! But it is a reminder of how far technology has come.

These are just the thumbnails. Click on the picture to see a larger version. I know many people are still using dial up, so I try to keep the download time small.

H-R Zara in a Blue Arabian Costume. Her show name is Blue Desert Sunne. This was back when there was still just one Arabian Horse Costume class.
The Black Stallion in a red fringed Arabian costume. It is okay to laugh. I did when I looked at the picture for the first time in 30 years!
CM FAS in an Arabian Costume. I didn't do the CM on this one. I don't remember the artist. I was in a Blu stage (all my models had Blu in the name) and he was blue, so I bought him.
Western Trail. I'm so happy to see one of my very old saddles. That was my state of the art way back when.
Here's the Black facing off with a calf.
We went to the mountains over New Years and I begged my Dad to let me borrow his Cannon AE-1 to snap a few model horse pictures in the snow. Film and processing was expensive. I got to take two pictures.
This is the other Western Trail picture I took that weekend in the snow. The sadle is an old painted Breyer. But the bridle is mine.
Remo Sunne Blu, the barrel racer. If you look carefully, you can just see the stick behind the barrel that is holding him up. This shot won me a few ribbons.
Zara rounding the turn. She has an English bridle on. I don't know why.
Zara in Western Pleasure. This saddle has one of my very first saddle trees.
Stagecoach at a live show in I think 1984, the last live show I attended for about 2 decades. That's me in the picture setting up a Palomino Family Arabian Stallion in harness.
FAS in harness. The collar is an old bracelet.
Same harness on Forever, who got her name because her glaze would not move when fired, so it took FOREVER to get her out of the pottery shop. She's the only custom breakable I ever made.
This dude is a Lefton about the size of a Paddock Pal.
Zara again, this time jumping a stack of feed sacks. I wish I had a better picture of her English saddle. It would be nice to see the difference to the saddles I make now.
Zara and her Arabian halter in a "native" environment. But I don't think they have Saguaro cacti in the middle East.
Zara in arena type halter.
I didn't do very many head shots back then. Normally it was a waste of film. AFS in an Arabian halter, sort of. And it doesn't fit him very well.
