Goodnight Western
| My first Signature Western sidesaddle. The silver plates are
all hand cut and etched. The leather is painted and antique finished. The
tooling pattern is a modification of the Simple Elegance design introduced
in the Tooling the Roper book. The cantle is rolled with silver lace. This
is an example of a modernized/rebuilt Goodnight and would be suitable for
pleasure type classes. |

| This set has a prototype bridle and Western style
Martingale. The skirts are square. The cantle is Cheyenne style not rolled.
I freehanded the tooling pattern. Normally I wouldn't take a chance at free
handing a pattern, but this saddle type is non-symmetrical, so I felt less
pressure to make the flowers perfect on both sides. I'm still working out
the bridle and breastcollar patterns for this saddle as I always like to add
new stuff to each book that can be used with other saddle patterns. |
