bulletDatabase Maintenance Screens
bulletDon't want to manually change all of the data from your previous MyCollection database? Did you purchase and manually add models produced after your version of the Breyer CD and want the data updated? Did you mess up and want to start all over again? Here's the utilities that help you manage your My Collection database.

About the MyCollection Database:

The first time you run the program, Setup adds an Access database (bmine04.mdb or smine04.mdb). Since this is where your data is stored, it is a good idea to include this file in your backup schedule. If you feel tempted to use your Access program to access the database, do so on a copy and not the original as changes to the format and data may make it impossible to use with the MyCollection program. Corrupted databases CANNOT be repaired by KeriOkie Entertainment.

About adding your own images:

If you have the Breyer CD in your CD-ROM drive, any model you imported from the Breyer CD database will display the images from the CD.

For any of the models, to can add up to four of your digital images per model. Just click "Add Pictures" and locate the file on your hard drive. To remove any reference to your images and revert back to the first setup, click the Reset Pictures button. This only effects the displayed record, not the entire set. If the information was imported from the Breyer CD, the database will revert back to the imported images. If you added the model manually, all of the image location data will be erased.

Due to the different sizes of the models, the Breyer Creatures CD uses a 1.5" x  1.5 " x 200 dpi image size. If you images are different (not completely square), the program will stretch it to fit the window. (Add a black border to any image of a different size to make it fit properly.) Images that are too large or too small will "pixilate", that is, appear blocky and distorted. Very large images will take longer to load as you click through the records. Experiment with the image size that best suites your needs.
